The IPC-7711/7721 is the electronic industry’s standard for the guidelines on removing and replacing electronic components and repairing circuitry, wether for surface mount rework and repair or for conventioneel boards. It is designed to provide hands-on instruction and training on specific modules in the IPC rework, repair and modification guide. Students must rework, repair and modify acceptable workmanship samples. The modularized design of this Course allows students to start with the most common modules and build upon their certification with other modules as required. This is a four (4) day, advanced course for anyone responsible for quality and reliability of reworked or repaired electronic assemblies.
At the conclusion of the Course, students will be subjected to open book written examinations and have to perform acceptable rework and repairs based on the IPC-7711/7721 Procedures. Students who successfully complete this Course are awarded an IPC 7711/7721 Certified IPC Specialist Certification valid for two (2) years. For students who have previously achieved their Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification within the last two years a relevant Recertification course/training is available.
