Course Description
Certified IPC Trainer Programs are intended for those who wish to become certified as instructors in different IPC specifications for the electronic assembly industry.
The IPC-7711/7721 is the electronic industry’s standard for the guidelines on removing and replacing electronic components and repairing circuitry, wether for surface mount rework and repair or for conventioneel boards. It is designed to provide hands-on instruction and training in the IPC rework, repair and modification guide. Students must rework, repair and modify acceptable workmanship samples. This is a five (5) day, advanced course for anyone responsible for quality and reliability of reworked or repaired electronic assemblies.
Certification
At the conclusion of the Course, students will be subjected to open and closed book written examinations and have to perform acceptable rework and repairs based on the IPC-7711/7721 Procedures. Students who successfully complete this Course are awarded an IPC 7711/7721 Certified IPC Trainer Certification valid for two (2) years. For students who have previously achieved their Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification within the last two years a relevant Recertification course/training is available.

- Our Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) programs are best suited for experienced and skilled electronics technicians, engineers and supervisors who have the will and passion to teach and train colleagues about the quality standards of IPC. They also provide successful candidates with a credential that confirms their knowledge and understanding of IPC quality systems.
- Any person whose responsibility lies in the quality, acceptability and reliability of assemblies including quality assurance engineers and manufacturing supervisors can qualify for this CIT training course.

Attendees must be experienced solderers.
The IPC-7721 is designed for board repair– restoring a board’s functional capability.
