Certified IPC Trainer Programs are intended for those who wish to become certified as instructors in different IPC specifications for the electronic assembly industry.
The IPC-7711/7721 is the electronic industry’s standard for the guidelines on removing and replacing electronic components and repairing circuitry, wether for surface mount rework and repair or for conventioneel boards. It is designed to provide hands-on instruction and training in the IPC rework, repair and modification guide. Students must rework, repair and modify acceptable workmanship samples. This is a five (5) day, advanced course for anyone responsible for quality and reliability of reworked or repaired electronic assemblies.
At the conclusion of the Course, students will be subjected to open and closed book written examinations and have to perform acceptable rework and repairs based on the IPC-7711/7721 Procedures. Students who successfully complete this Course are awarded an IPC 7711/7721 Certified IPC Trainer Certification valid for two (2) years. For students who have previously achieved their Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification within the last two years a relevant Recertification course/training is available.
