ETECH’s Introduction to Soldering Surface Mount Devices is a one (1) day hands-on course for staff unfamiliar or new to soldering and is ideally followed by ETECH’s Rework of Surface Mount Devices (includes reworking techniques) course for enhancing skills and understanding. The course demonstrates good practice and teaches the skills applicable to hand soldering to those unfamiliar or new to the industry, as well as showing how components are recognised and positioned.
At the conclusion of the Course, students must complete acceptable workmanship samples. Students who successfully complete the hands-on project are awarded an ETECH Certification valid for two (2) years. For students who have previously achieved their ETECH Certification within the last two years a relevant Recertification course/training is available.
This module contains content that applies to all other sections of the training.
This module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for soldering.
