IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies for Application Specialist
The goal of IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) training is to improve an individual’s skill and ability to discriminate between acceptable and unacceptable electronics assemblies. Students don’t just learn when a assembly should be accepted or rejected, they learn the reason why.
Who should undertake the IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) training?
The IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) training is aimed at anyone needing to understand wether a assembly is acceptable, such as:
- Assembly operators
- Quality assurance inspectors
- Quality Supervisors
- Inbound inspectors
- Assembly manufacturing supervisors
- Production Managers
- Managers and Directors who wants to understand the impact of quality on their products and processes
- Anyone responsible for the quality and reliability of electronics assemblies
The IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) training is a modular program. Apart from mandatory modules, your staff may only need elements relevant to your company. However both IPC and ETECH-trainingen strongly recommend that all modules are taken. Omitting modules is unlikely to reduce overall attendance time.
The Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification, is granted to each individual who successfully completes the training.
A minimum of at least 70% is required on each closed and open-book test to achieve a pass.
Each IPC course/training provides a global IPC certification valid for two years. For students who have previously achieved their Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification within the last two years a relevant Recertification course/training is available.
