BGA Inspection, Rework and Repair

If BGA rework requires the removal of the component, special considerations must be taken into account. For instance, excessive heat or improper removal techniques has the potential to cause damage to surrounding lands, other components, or the PCB itself.

The training BGA Inspection, Rework and Repair explains step-by-step procedures for BGA removal, site preparation and replacement. Concludes with a discussion on cleaning and inspection requirements.

The following IPC standards are used during the training BGA Inspection, Rework and Repair:

  • IPC-7095
  • IPC-7711/7721
  • IPC-A-610
  • IPC-J-STD-001
  • IPC-J-STD-020
  • IPC-J-STD-033
